New camera is providing views of Beltline/Coburg Rd
SPRINGFIELD— The latest addition to the state’s highway camera network is now operating in Eugene-Springfield, providing important views to ODOT maintenance employees and the public.
The new camera is located at the interchange of OR 569 (Randy Papé Beltline) and Coburg Road in Eugene.
The Oregon Department of Transportation has installed the new camera to provide continuous video coverage of the interchange. The camera can be viewed on www.tripcheck.com.
The highway camera network is designed to provide ODOT maintenance personnel a visual link to traffic congestion, pavement conditions and other factors that determine maintenance decisions.
“Know Before You Go”
In addition to being a benefit for ODOT, the cameras can be viewed by motorists to see current conditions at more than 220 important locations around the state.
Additional local camera locations are currently being constructed at I-5 at Randy Papé Beltline, Delta Highway (a Lane County project), and Randy Papé Beltline at River Road.
