LAUGHLIN ROAD TO MARKS CREEK
PROJECT FACT SHEET

Project Location:
The Laughlin Rd to Marks Creek Project is located on Highway 41 (Ochoco Hwy), east of Prineville, from MP 20.58 to 34.03 in Crook County.
 
Purpose of the Project:
This is a preservation project designed to extend the life of the existing pavement and to greatly reduce the rockfall hazard at MP 32.3, and to improve drainage, safety, and signing. 
 
Traffic Changes During the Project:
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers during elephant rockfall and paving operations.  Traffic will also be reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary signal for the box culvert work at Polly Creek. 
 
Information During Construction:
The construction schedule, traffic restrictions, and project updates will be delivered to the public through the local media.  Traffic restrictions and construction activities will also be kept updated on Tripcheck. 

The construction of the project is scheduled for completion by October 31, 2005.

  • Begin construction – June 2005
  • Complete construction – October 31, 2005
