Lake Creek Bridge Public Hearing/Open House

The Oregon Department of Transportation invites the public to a Public Hearing/Open House to examine project plans and gather and share information contained in the proposed U.S. 97 at South Century Drive project in Deschutes County, Oregon, Environmental Assessment (EA). The meeting is Wednesday, July 21 at Sisters High School from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ODOT staff will be available to discuss issues and answer questions. An informational open house and public hearing on this proposed project will be held on Thursday, September 30th in the Pineland Room of Sunriver Resort’s Main Lodge located at #1 Center Drive in Sunriver. The open house/public hearing will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., during which time the public is welcome to examine the project plans and the EA, and ODOT staff will be available to discuss issues and answer questions. Written comments will be accepted at the open house and may also be submitted through October 20, 2004 to Susan Haupt, Environmental Project Manager, ODOT Environmental Services, 63034 O.B. Riley Road, Bend, OR 97701. All interested parties are encouraged to review the EA and comment on the proposed action.
The Lake Creek Bridge is located at Milepost 87.1 on U.S. Highway 20 between the towns of Idanha and Sisters, Oregon and near Suttle Lake. Construction of the proposed project is anticipated to begin in early 2005 and is expected to last three years.
All interested parties are encouraged to review the EA and comment on the proposed action.
