About the Olex Highway Improvement Project
The Olex Highway Improvement Project included the replacement of an 82-year-old bridge, the straightening of a hairpin curve and widening of Oregon Highway 19 (John Day Highway) between mile point 15.35 and 17.20 in Olex.
The improvements to the highway in this area will increase the trucking industry’s ability to transport goods and services to Gilliam County and the community of Condon from the I-84 corridor.
