For more information contact:  Heidi Hiaasen (541/388-6178)

The community is invited to join Oregon Department of Transportation team members at an open house to discuss the US 97 Redmond Refinement Plan. The open house will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 14 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center, North Sister Conference Hall in Redmond.

The purpose of the plan is to identify specific improvements needed in the corridor to maintain mobility and safety for the next 20 years. Topics to be discussed at the open house include the purposed and major objectives of the plan. ODOT representatives will present background information about how the highway operates today and the possible constraints and challenges to future highway improvements.

The study area is divided into two areas, the urban portion inside the City of Redmond, and the rural highway between the south city limit and Deschutes Market Road.

The public is invited to come, ask questions, and offer suggestion about the US 97 Redmond Refinement Plan.
