Crews will Stripe US 97, near S. Century Drive, on Thursday
Maintenance crews for the Oregon Department of Transportation will re-stripe the pavement on US 97 in the area of S. Century Drive between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. This is a mobile operation and drivers are not expected to be stopped. Motorists behind the striping equipment will be slowed to about 20 miles-per-hour through the area.
Those who will be driving through the area are asked to allow themselves extra time to get to their destinations. Motorists are advised to stay off the wet paint.
In addition, crews are on schedule to open the S. Century Drive intersection by 5 a.m. Thursday. The new, temporary access is located 700 feet north of the old intersection. A split-diamond interchange is being constructed at the intersection of US 97 and S. Century Drive. The interchange is expected to be open to vehicles in late 2007.
