UPDATE: US 20: One lane of Greenwood Avenue closed through Wednesday for utility work
The right lane of westbound traffic on Greenwood Avenue (US 20) in Bend will be closed through Wednesday, weather permitting, at the intersection of Third Street to allow for utility work. Qwest workers are expected to finish work on Monday night to repair two underground communication cables. Once the utility work is complete, a contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation will patch the lane.
The closure is from Third to Fourth streets on Greenwood. Business access will be maintained through the closure. Flaggers, signs and cones will direct motorists through the area.
Motorists in the area need to be aware of congestion and delays. Travelers are encouraged to find alternate routes during the closure.
