US 26: Closed South of OR 35 Junction
A vehicle crash has closed US26 at MP 63.5, six miles south of the Mt. Hood Highway (OR 35) Junction. Emergency crews are on scene. The highway is expected to remain closed for several hours as the accident is investigated.
Southeasterly bound travelers are advised to use the following detour route:
Southeast on US 26 to OR 35
North on OR 35 to I-84
East on I-84 to US 97
South on US 97 to US 26
Northwesterly bound travelers are advised to use the following detour route:
North on US 97 at Madras to I-84
West on I-84 to OR 35
South on OR 35 to US 26
West on US 26
This detour route is approximately 120 miles in length. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions.
