The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) anticipates the opening of Klamath Falls’ Tingley Lane Bridge, over the Lost River Diversion Canal, during the week of November 30, weather permitting. The Tingley Lane Bridge was closed June 8 when damage was discovered in the bridge deck.

The ODOT Klamath Falls Bridge Maintenance Crew will make temporary repairs to the bridge deck to allow legal load traffic to cross the bridge one direction at a time. Once reopened, motorist movements will be self-regulated by stop signs at each end of the bridge.

Construction of the new Tingley Lane Bridge and replacement of an irrigation culvert is anticipated to take place as early as fall 2005. The new bridge will be a wider, concrete structure designed to handle modern-day loads and truck traffic.
