I-84 ON-RAMP CLOSURE IN THE DALLES
Beginning Wednesday, November 23 at noon, the eastbound Interstate 84 (I-84) on-ramp at Webber Street will close to facilitate bridge replacement activities and to improve safety on I-84. This ramp is located near Denny’s Restaurant on Webber Street in The Dalles.
Traffic on I-84 is currently reduced to one lane in each direction at mile point 83.5 in The Dalles. Traffic has been shifted to the east side of the interstate to facilitate the replacement of the west side of the Webber Street Bridge (U.S. 30). This alignment is expected to remain in place until mid February. Once complete, traffic will be switched to the west side of the interstate for replacement of the east side of the structure. The entire project is expected to be completed by May 2005.
Drivers can expect minimal delays when traveling through this work zone. Motorists are advised to use caution, reduce speeds, and be aware of workers when traveling through the work zone.
About the Bridge Replacement
