UPDATE: US 97 CLOSED, ALTERNATE ROUTE AVAILABLE
All lanes of US 97, four miles north of Terrebonne at mile point 112, are expected to be closed for about one hour as emergency personnel work to open one lane of the highway. A multi-vehicle crash closed the highway around 2:30 p.m. Once a lane is open, flaggers will direct motorists through the crash site.
Drivers may choose to take an alternative route through Prineville. Those traveling north on US 97, take OR 126 east to Prineville and US 26 north to Madras. Those traveling south on US 97, take US 26 south to Prineville and OR 126 west to Redmond.
Motorists should expect delays.
