Central Oregon Road Construction
UPDATE: Week of March 19
 
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is continuing to invest in Oregon’s future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon’s central region (ODOT Region 4). ODOT is committed to providing safe, efficient transportations systems. The following projects reflect ODOT’s commitment to make improvements as traffic numbers rise and to make the roadways safer and more efficient for drivers:

 
ALL WORK IS DEPENDENT UPON WEATHER
 
 
CROOK COUNTY
OR 126 (Ochoco Highway), MP 17.9, West of Prineville
JAL Construction Company is constructing a new bridge located over the Crooked River Bridge on the west end of Prineville. 
 
For the week of March 19th-March 25thth the contractor will be performing bridge forming work outside of the roadway.  No delays are expected.

DESCHUTES COUNTY
US 20: Hamptonto Glass Butte MP 62.07 to MP 74.67
Construction is due to begin in late April – early May, depending upon weather.     
 
US 20:  Cold Springs Cutoff RoadTo Cascade Meadow Ranch RoadMP 95.86 to MP 97.47
→Construction
  1. Contractor is proposing to commence with grinding and paving starting Monday morning with the operation anticipated to start up at 7:00 AM contingent on weather and shut down at around 7:00 PM throughout the week.  The operation shall entail reducing Hwy 20 to a single lane, traffic will be controlled using flaggers and pilot car with delay anticipated to not exceed 10 minutes.     

US 97 @ South Century Drive (Sunriver) Interchange,-Current Work & Impacts MP 152.25-153.66
→Activity associated with crushing material on site will commence during this week.  No impact to traffic is anticipated.

US 97 (The Dalles – California Highway) MP 141.00 to MP 146.49,  South of Bend, Village Way – Lava Butte & US 97 @China Hat, Safety Improvement Project, 
Construction due to begin late April – early May.

 
JEFFERSON COUNTY
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway), MP 78.2, MP 78.5 & MP 90.1, north of Madras
High Desert Paving and Aggregate is working to replace an existing Bridge at Hay Creek, MP 78.2,  with a multi-plate pipe, replacing a cattle pass culvert at MP 78.7, and replacing an Irrigation Canal Bridge, MP 90.1, with a box culvert.
 
Contractor will be working outside of the roadway at MP 78.2, MP 78.5, & MP 90.1  from March 19th-March 25th.  Intermittent lane closures will be occurring.  Delays will be less than two minutes.

KLAMATH COUNTY
OR58 @ US97 Overcrossing:
→The contractor will begin to clear timber for new roadway alignment.  NB US97 to WB OR58 traffic will be controlled with flaggers.  Motorist should expect trucks enter and exiting the roadway within the work zone.
 
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway) MP 242, Spring Creek Hill
→Scaling work by maintenance forces.  Traffic controlled by flaggers. Minor delays possible

US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway) MP 258 to MP 264
→Paving work on shoulders. Traffic controlled by flaggers. Expect delays

LAKE COUNTY
OR 31 (Fremont Highway) Silver Creek Bridge, MP 46.6

This project is currently under a Winter Shutdown and is expected to resume no later than May 1, 2007.
 
WASCO COUNTY
US 26 (Warm Springs Highway), MP 94.2 – 96.50, West of Madras
JAL Construction Company is performing shoulder widening along this section of highway.  Flaggers are being utilized to control traffic flow.  Expect delays of less than 3 minutes.
