Central Oregon Road Construction
UPDATE: Week of June 4
 
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is continuing to invest in Oregon’s future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon’s central region (ODOT Region 4). ODOT is committed to providing safe, efficient transportations systems. The following projects reflect ODOT’s commitment to make improvements as traffic numbers rise and to make the roadways safer and more efficient for drivers:

 
ALL WORK IS DEPENDENT UPON WEATHER
 
 
CROOK COUNTY
 
OR 126 (Ochoco Highway), MP 17.9, West of Prineville
JAL Construction Company is constructing a new bridge located over the Crooked River Bridge on the west end of Prineville.  The contractor will be working outside of the roadway.
No traffic delays are expected.

 
US 26 (Ochoco Highway), in Prineville at Knowledge Street(MP 19.4)
A crew will be working on the bridge over Ochoco Creek at Knowledge Street in Prineville.  They will be doing geotechnical drilling taking samples at the base of the bridge.  The crew is expected to be working on June 5 and 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The bridge is due for replacement in the next 2 years.
No traffic delays are anticipated.

 
DESCHUTES COUNTY
 
US 20 (Central Oregon Highway) from Hamptonto Glass Butte(MP 62.07 to MP 74.67)
Paving is to continue Monday through Friday with crews working west from MP 69 to MP 62.  The contractor is progressing approximately 2 miles per day.  Pilot car and flaggers will facilitate traffic through the construction zone.  Operations should last until just prior to sunset. 
Traffic delay is anticipated to be no more than 20 minutes.     
 
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway) at the South Century Drive (Sunriver) interchange (MP 152.25 to MP 153.66)
Bridge slabs are expected be delivered and set in place on June 5 and June 6.
No traffic delays are expected.

US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway) from Village Wayto Lave Butte(MP 141.00 to MP 146.49)
The median barrier from just north of the railroad overpass to a half mile south of Baker Road will be removed or shifted in preparation for grinding and resurfacing of US 97.  Northbound and southbound left lane closures will be in place starting Sunday night June 3 at 10:00 p.m.  Lanes will re-open to traffic by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning.  For Monday through Thursday, left lane closures will be in place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.  There are no lane closures planned for Friday and Saturday nights. 
Minimal traffic delays are expected.
 

JEFFERSON COUNTY
 
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway), approximately 13  miles north of Madras (MP 78.2)
High Desert Paving and Aggregate will be working at MP 78.7 replacing a cattle pass culvert.  Traffic will be controlled with barrier and traffic control devices. 
Minimal delays are expected (less than 2 minutes).


KLAMATH COUNTY
 
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway) from Spring Creek Hill (MP 243) to Algoma Road area (MP 266)
General clean-up from past construction activities
No traffic delays are expected.

OR 140 (Lake of the Woods Highway) from near the junction of the Lake Shore Drive (MP 62.5) to the junction of OR 66 (MP 68.8)
Installation of temporary signs
No traffic delays are expected.
 
US 97 (The Dalles-California Highway – MP 195) at the junction of OR 58 (Willamette Highway – MP 86.3)
The placement of a beam for a replacement bridge over US 97 at the junction of OR 58 will cause traffic delays next week.  On Friday June 8 from 6 p.m. to Saturday June 9 at 6 a.m. motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes for all directions.  Traffic will be routed through the work site by pilot cars. 

 
LAKE COUNTY
 
No projects planned nor traffic delays expected.
 

WASCO COUNTY
 
US 26 (Warm Springs Highway), approximately 7 miles northwest of Warm Springs (MP 94.2 – 96.50)
Contractor will not be working on the project this week. 
No delays are expected.
