Roadside Barriers Data Collection Users Guide

Asset Management is a systematic and strategic approach to maintain, upgrade, and operate physical assets. In order to maximize the benefits of Asset Management, a standardized method of data collection and data processing is needed. This will not only benefit the individual asset managers, but will also create corporate data that can be used by all ODOT employees. Commonly understood corporate data will allow for informed decision-making, as well as better communication between asset managers and other ODOT departments (e.g., Maintenance, Construction, GIS). Data collection standards will lay the foundation for a regular cycle of communication about asset needs and conditions.
