The Strategic Services Section is composed of two units, the Branch and Project Delivery Services (BPDS) Unit and the Strategic Systems and Data Management (SSDM) Unit. The two units work closely together to support, develop and improve how ODOT does business.
The Branch and Project Delivery Services (BPDS) Unit provides the focal point for integrating project delivery program management and non-technical strategic or operational functions across the branch/division. BPDS works with various leadership teams and taskforces on project delivery/transportation related process improvements, governance, best practices and standards. It leads the development and overall implementation of the annual TS work plan, coordinates branch performance and knowledge management efforts, and manages the branch-level administrative, fiscal, personnel management, and facilities.
The Strategic Systems and Data Management (SSDM) Unit serves as a tactical leader and partner in the development, integration, and support of physical asset, information systems, automated tools, processes, templates and the technical/professional competencies needed for ODOT staff. SSDM tracks and documents usage, performance, and evaluates and implements needed changes to ensure optimal benefit from the use of current, available technical tools, practices, and templates, and projects future needs, trends and innovations to continuously keep systems, data, support aids and standards current and viable.
