National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission
Congress chartered the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission in SAFETEA-LU to study funding issues and other challenges facing the surface transportation system and make recommendations to Congress. The Commission released its report in January.
The Oregon Department of Transportation, working with the Association of Oregon Counties and the League of Oregon Cities, has developed a set of principles and priorities for Oregon in the next surface transportation authorization legislation. Transportation stakeholder groups are invited to sign on.
