| Introduction |

Thank you for your interest in Public Transit’s automated grant management tool, the Oregon Public Transit Information System (OPTIS). We are pleased to be able to provide you with an online training opportunity where you’ll learn how to enter periodic reports, request grant reimbursement, track your PTD-funded projects, and more. We created a video of a recent two-day OPTIS training and broke it out into about 15 to 30 minute segments that you can watch at your own pace. Training materials and handouts mentioned in the video are available below under Course Handouts & Material. Before you begin, please send an email to odotptdreporting@odot.state.or.us, tell us that you are interested in the online training, and ask to be set up in the OPTIS training site. We will provide login information so you can practice using the various OPTIS features before accessing the live Production site. After watching the videos and doing the practice lessons, you have two options - either ask a trained OPTIS user at your agency to set you up in the Production site and mentor you, or contact odotptdreporting@odot.state.or.us again. PTD staff can provide the access you need and answer any questions you may have. The OPTIS Training Binder below includes course agenda, many handouts, flow charts, and quiz. (An alternate pdf portfolio format of the Training Binder (5.47 MB) is available beyond the regular pdf version. System requirements for the PDF Portfolio suggest Adobe Reader X or Acrobat Pro X.)
