Programs and Transportation and Growth Management Unit

The Programs and Transportation and Growth Management (TGM) Unit manages the State Planning and Research Program (SPR), and jointly manages significant projects, initiatives and projects.  These currently include Least Cost Planning, and Tolling Policies and Rules for example.  The Unit works closely with other programs such as Flexible Funds, Connect Oregon, and others to help ensure planning program consistency, coordination, and implementation. 

The 
Transportation and Growth Management Program is a joint effort of ODOT and the Department of Land Conservation and Development to integrate transportation and land use planning to create livable communities connected by an efficient transportation network that provides convenient options for travel and commerce. The program provides funding and planning guidance to local jurisdictions."  
 
The Programs and Transportation and Growth Management Unit economists assist staff and decision-makers in making more informed decisions through the incorporation of economic considerations into goals, plans, programs, and projects and the estimation and valuation of economic impacts.
