If you experience difficulties using these tables, contact Peter.L.Schuytema@odot.state.or.us. He can suggest values to be used if your e-mail includes a short description of the project including state highway number and project location (milepoint ranges or roadway segments).
The Future Volume Table is created using data from the Transportation Volume Tables (TVT), which are maintained by the Transportation Systems Monitoring Unit's Traffic Counting Program. The Future Volumes table includes all of the individual highway count locations in the TVT sorted by highway number and milepoint. NOTE that the highway number is the Department's Internal highway number, not the route (OR/US/I) number. Highway numbers and Route numbers can be cross-referenced using the traffic monitoring cross-reference.
The future volumes are estimates only and local growth patterns and comprehensive plans may affect the actual outcome. The growth rates calculated from the Future Volumes Table are only a beginning point of estimating future volumes. Engineering judgment needs to be applied to the numbers. For information on how to use this table, see Section 4.4.1 of the Analysis Procedures Manual.
The Seasonal Trend Table can also be used to estimate seasonal traffic count adjustments. For information on how to use this table, see Section 4.3.2 of the Analysis Procedures Manual. This table is updated yearly.
