  • Don't stand in line, go online
    Conduct your DMV business online
All customers can change their address, check office wait times and report the sale or transfer of a vehicle using DMV's online services. Most customers (if stated on their renewal notice) can renew their vehicle registrations online. Save yourself a trip and use the Web instead!
  • DMV office wait time information now available online
Check and compare wait times before visiting a DMV office
DMV has implemented a new online office wait time display feature. It tracks the average waiting period for many DMV offices, i.e., those equipped with an automated wait time management system.
  • Have a driver license from Taiwan?
It just got easier to exchange it for an Oregon driver license
Beginning 10/02/15, individuals over the age of 18 with a Class B driver license (passenger vehicles) from Taiwan will not need to take a behind-the-wheel drive test in Oregon. A reciprocity agreement was signed on 9/28/15 that allows individuals, who surrender their current license, to obtain a license without a drive test. All other requirements and fees still apply.
  • Need to take your drive test NOW?
Schedule it with a private party tester
DMV is currently allowing several private businesses to conduct our behind-the-wheel drive test. These businesses may offer quicker, more convenient appointment times, including weekends. Call the private party tester nearest you to get information about your testing options.
