You must be a current Department of Transportation employee in a permanent, seasonal or limited duration position, in order to be considered eligible for this position.
 
The Transportation Services Representative 1 (TSR 1) is responsible for enhancing the image of the department by representing DMV in a professional manner and by meeting customer service expectations while adhering to privacy laws. The TSR 1 secures the motoring public's compliance to DMV requirements by explaining and interpreting laws, rules, policies, procedures, programs and records. Customer service is delivered through person-to-person contact at the counter, over the phone and through written correspondences.

Your Work History on your application must clearly describe how you meet these qualifications:
  • You must be a current Department of Transportation employee in a permanent, seasonal or limited duration position, in order to be considered eligible for this position.
  • Two years of public contact/customer service experience which involved:
    • Dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing information about services/programs or explaining/applying laws, rules, regulations/procedures; AND
    • Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input data; AND
    • Three months experience in cash handling. This position requires the employee to collect money and make change; your application must show this experience; AND
  • A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Completion of an Associate's degree may substitute for one year of the public contact experience.
  • Qualified applicants whose background most closely matches the needs of the position will be invited to interview.
