The Technical Specialist provides technical support to the DMV Customer Services Group. The person in this position analyzes work processes to identify work efficiencies, creates statistical reports and evaluations through analysis, gathering and collecting data from various resources to compile both statistical and narrative reports.
 
This position researches and provides information to other service groups concerning processing including developing plans for implementing change throughout the Customer Services Group.

Your application materials must clearly describe how you meet the qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures; (If you are using education to qualify, you must submit a photocopy of related transcripts in order to receive credit for the degree and/or coursework.)
OR
  • Three years experience as a research assistant comparable to the work of a Research Analyst 1; or two years experience using computer applications to help gather, compile, analyze, and report information and statistical data.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with a working knowledge of DMV policies and procedures.
  • Qualified applicants whose background most closely matches the needs of the position will be invited to interview.
