The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architect is a technical, professional position responsible for the creation, acquisition and maintenance of cost-effective computer systems and programs. The position provides architectural designs of IT projects at the senior level for large sized projects or systems that are complex and could span multiple divisions. It also provides ODOT customers with computer expertise at a senior level to assist in obtaining useful, accurate and timely automated information and problem resolution.
CURIOUS? Here’s what you need (Minimum Qualifications):
- Five years of professional consultative, technical, or administrative experience providing expert advice and leadership in planning, development, coordination, and implementation of information systems. Experience must include activities in Application Development, Troubleshooting Software and Hardware problems; and either:

at least 30 quarter (20 semester) credits in computer science; or two more years of experience providing a knowledge of information systems theory and principles.

Two years of ITS related experience may substitute for two years of the professional experience.
Applicant possessing knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas are preferred:

Intelligent Transportation Systems

15 quarter (10 semester) graduate-level computer science, software engineering, information systems, or equivalent credits may substitute for one year of the professional experience.
