Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee to meet April 3 - 4

The Oregon Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday and Friday, April 3 and 4 at ODOT’s Region 1 office, 123 NW Flanders St. in Portland, Room 228. On Thursday, the meeting will run 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and on Friday, 9:00 a.m. – noon.
The meeting coincides with the annual Bike Summit, part of the Governor’s Tourism Conference, and the public is invited to attend. The public comment period is scheduled for Thursday, 2 – 2:30 p.m.
Also on Thursday, committee members will hear from the Department of Land Conservation and Development staff on how the public can participate in transportation planning and decision making. Other Thursday agenda items include activity reports from ODOT Region 1 (Portland metro area), Area Commissions on Transportation and the Joint Portland Area Commission on Transportation. On Friday, the committee will review the Pedestrian and Bicycle Grant Program selection criteria and application requirements and hear a presentation from the Historic Columbia River Highway Advisory Committee.
