Across Oregon, there are qualified mortgage brokers and local banks which participate in the ORVET home loan program. Moreover, these lenders have expressed a willingness to assist veterans in the loan process.

 

Veterans may also apply directly to ODVA. If you're an Oregon veteran ready to buy a home, ODVA is here to help you obtain a loan at a very competitive rate.

Complete an Eligibility Application Form and fax or mail it to the ODVA office in Salem together with a copy of the veteran’s military discharge form, DD Form 214.

 

The DD 214 is needed as it indicates the nature of your discharge. This is generally Member Copy 2, 4, or 6. Establishing eligibility does not guarantee loan approval.

 

The veteran and the property must meet current ODVA underwriting guidelines.
