The 2013-15 Agency Request Budget document is available for your review. The budget includes a one-time (2013-15) assessment to develop and implement an electronic reporting system to receive lobbying expenditure reports and public official statements of economic interest. The assement will be shared equally between State and Local Government. See the "Commission Funding Fee Assessment" section below for more information.

The 2007 Legislature enacted law (ORS 244.255) that reorganized the funding of the Oregon Government Ethics Commission in response to the public's request to remove the agency from the General Fund and create a more stable funding source.

The current recession has reduced state revenues, and has forced the Legislature to make deep cuts in agency budgets. Coping with these cuts requires closing state offices. State workers affected by the closures will take unpaid furloughs on those days. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures might cause, and we look forward to restoration of a full work schedule for all state agencies when the economy improves.

 OGEC is pleased to offer iLinc Webinars as a training option!
These short trainings are presented live by an OGEC trainer using the internet. Several different classes will be presented each month. Anyone may participate in any of these classes, but the number of available spaces is limited. Please register at least one day in advance by emailing OGEC.Training@state.or.us. Webinars are provided free of charge. OGEC can also provide customized webinar trainings for any group on request.

OGEC is pleased to offer free on-line training through iLearn Oregon. Training modules are short, focused, and convenient. There are trainings on several topics, including conflicts of interest, gifts, and executive sessions.

Whether you are a public official or a private citizen, anyone with an email address can take training through iLearn Oregon at no cost. iLearn trainings are available from any internet connected computer.
