Hospital Overview

Better health, better care, lower costs

Thank you for your interest in the Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program! EHRs can help improve the way we coordinate care in Oregon, accelerating us toward a system of better health, better care and lower costs.

The incentive program is designed to support your hospital by providing payments that assist you in installing or updating your EHR as well as develop and achieve meaningful use of your system.

Now is the time to find out if your hospital is eligible, register and apply!

Hospitals must either be an Acute Care Hospital, including Critical Access Hospitals, with at least a 10% Medicaid patient volume, or a Children's Hospital.

In Oregon, our hospital's total incentive payment is calculated once to determine how much you will receive over a three year period. Our Incentive Calculator can help you determine your amount.

Find out which EHR systems are certified to meet meaningful use standards for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs.

Meaningful Use standards are criteria set to ensure that your EHR system is fully operational and workflow is developed in a way that promotes quality care, efficiency and patient security and safety. Except in the first year of the program, hospitals must meet meaningful use standards in order to qualify for the incentives program.
