Biographies
 
The Oregon Educators Benefit Board is made up of the following people:
 
Two members representing district boards:
 

· Ron Gallinat (Chair)
 
Ron is the owner of Central Oregon Employee Benefits, LLC where he is a Consultant and Agent to employees for benefits. Ron has more 20 years of experience in benefits focusing on employer-sponsored insurance. He also serves as a board member on the High Desert Education Service District Board.
 
 
 
· Wally Hazen
 
Wally is a business owner in Coos Bay. He has served on the Coos Bay school board since 1994, as well as currently serves on the Oregon School Boards Association and on the State's Fair Dismissal Appeals Board.

Two members representing nonmanagement employees from the largest labor organization representing district employees – Oregon Education Association (OEA):
 
 
· Steve McNannay
 
Steve was elected to serve as chair of the OEBB at the July 10, 2007, Board meeting and held that position until July 22, 2009.
 
Steve is Executive Director of OEA Choice Trust and principal advisor to the board of trustees. Steve has been involved in the administration and delivery of healthcare benefits for school employees in Oregon for the past 19 years.
 
 
 
· Dave Fiore 
 
Dave is a UniServ Consultant with the Oregon Education Association and works out of their Pendleton office. Prior to his work with OEA, Dave was a high school language arts educator in Central Oregon and also worked for SAIF Corporation.  Dave has lived in Oregon for the past 27 years.
 
 
One member representing nonmanagement district employees from the second largest labor organization representing district employees – Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA):
 
 
· Rick Shidaker
 
Rick has been a Field Representative for Oregon School Employees Association for nearly 20 years. His experience includes being OSEA’s negotiator; the Chief Spokesperson responsible for negotiating all public and private sector collective bargaining agreements. Previously, Rick worked for Eugene School District 4J as the community school coordinator as well as the city of Veneta's Parks and Recreation director.
 
 
One member representing nonmanagement district employees from a labor organization other than the largest or second largest labor organization representing district employees – AFT Faculty and Classified Federations at Portland Community College:
 
 
· Michael Cannarella (Vice Chair)
 
Michael is the labor relations specialist for AFT Faculty and Classified Federations at Portland Community College. Michael also is a member of and union representative on the labor management committee and the Joint Committee on Insurance Benefits at Portland Community College.
 
 
Two members with expertise in health policy or risk management:
 
 
· Alison Little, M.D., M.P.H
 
Alison is Medical Director for Oregon Health and Science University’s Center for Evidence-based Policy.  Previously, Alison served as the Medical Director for the Oregon Health Services Commission, Oregon Medical Assistance Program and Central Oregon Independent Health Services. She was also a family practice physician for several years.
 
 
 
· Mary Lou Hennrich
 
Mary Lou Hennrich is the executive director of Community Health Partnership: Oregon Public Health Institute and has been in this position for more than six years. Prior to this Mary Lou was the founding CEO of CareOregon, Nurse Program Manager for Maternal Child Health for Multnomah County Health Department. as well as Assistant Director at Multnomah County Health Department.
