2013 Insurance Committee Meetings

In order to maximize limited resources within a tight timeframe, OEBB has asked ESDs and community colleges to work with the districts in their area and schedule joint regional insurance committee meetings again this year. Please review the "Letter to ESDs" to learn which dates OEBB will be in your area. To schedule a meeting, please complete and return the Request Form no later than close of business on April 19, 2013.

Self-Pay Early Retiree Administration Toolkit

Use these documents when you want OEBB to take over benefit administration for some or all of your self-pay early retirees.

​100% Self-Pay Early Retiree Agreement

Complete this agreement and submit it to OEBB to request this optional service. Once OEBB has confirmed the effective date, use the documents below to communicate this change to your affected retirees. Detailed instructions are in the agreement.

Retiree Notification Packet
​Once OEBB has confirmed the effective date, send a notification packet to your affected retirees. Include a cover letter from your entity (samples provided below) as well as the appropriate OEBB documents. Refer to the "100% Self-Pay Early Retiree Agreement" for detailed instructions.

The following documents are scheduled to be mailed or e-mailed (depending on the member's preference indicated in the MyOEBB system) on August 1, 2012.

Plan Changes and Reminders 

 4-page document (not personalized) detailing plan changes for the 2012-13 plan year as well as reminders of important plan details continuing for 2012-13​

2-page legal size (8.5" x 14") document

The hard copy mailed USPS is printed double-sided on orchid-colored paper.​

Plan Comparison Booklet

   ● PC1 - All Plans

 ​Members receiving their information hard copy will receive the Plan Comparison Booklet appropriate for their region. Members receiving their information electronically will receive version "PC1" showing all plans.
Carrier Informational Flyers​ Members receiving their information hard copy will only receive the Kaiser flyer if they live or work in a Kaiser-accessible area. Members receiving their information electronically will receive all documents in this link, including Kaiser.​

"Heads-Up" Postcard (E-mail Version)​ This postcard will be mailed on July 25, 2012 to members who indicated they prefer to receive their benefits information electronically, warning them to watch their e-mail inbox for their Open Enrollment information.​
"Heads-Up" Postcard (USPS Version)​ This postcard will be mailed on July 25, 2012 to members who indicated they prefer to receive their benefits information via USPS as well as those members who did not select a preferred delivery method, warning them to watch their mail for their Open Enrollment information.​
