| Overview |
|
At the end of the day, health care will touch everyone—as a patient, a caregiver or a loved one involved with care decisions. No matter what our role, we want access to quality health care and receive timely answers to our questions. We want the right health information available, promptly and securely, so we can work to be better partners in our own health and the health of our loved ones. We want a health care system that is innovative, efficient and keeps us healthy.
Oregon is fortunate to have many entities and individuals committed to transforming our health care delivery systems, improving clinical outcomes and reducing health care costs. With the Oregon e-Health Pledge, we will help achieve those goals by supporting the evolution of leading-edge health care IT solutions that:
- Enable health information exchange (HIE)
- Promote consumer engagement
- Connect consumers and clinicians in meaningful ways
- Foster access to health information
- Ensure the protection of privacy and security
