OPHP administers programs that work together to break down access barriers, assist with health care costs, and educate program members, the general public, and health care professionals. Trains health insurance agents on state programs for the uninsured and changes in Oregon insurance law; operates referral program to connect businesses and individuals with insurance agents in their communities.
    • Family Health Insurance Assistance Program (FHIAP)

      FHIAP helps pay up to 95 percent (100 percent for kids ages 0 through 18) of the cost of health insurance premiums for individuals or families who qualify. Members pay deductibles, co-payments, and other costs of health plans.

    An advocacy organization comprising 35 million members. AARP focuses on issues affecting men and women aged 50 and older.
