Recently adopted rules

The Health Licensing Office has adopted administrative rules for the Board of Licensed Dietitians, which went into effect Jan. 1, 2017. Changes were made to clarify the time frame on continuing education requirements.

In addition, the HLO has recently made an adjustment to the administrative rules for the Board of Licensed Dietitians. The change is a small language tweak to OAR 834-030-0010 – Licensed Dietitian Issuance and Renewal – to bring this section into alignment with the rules the Office just passed regarding continuing education. Licensees who are renewing can attest to keeping their CE current; only in the event of an audit would the licensee have to provide supporting documentation. The proposed rule, as well as the ones that just became permanent, do not require anything new or different in the areas of continuing education. It just makes requirements easier to understand and follow.

The administrative rules are scheduled to become permanent on April 1, 2017.
