National standards
Make sure your inbound and outbound transactions conform to the new 5010 standards as defined in the national X12 Technical Reports Type 3 (TR3s).
- These guides are a supplement to the X12 transaction implementation guides available on the Washington Publishing Web site.
- All transactions with DMAP must comply with National Provider Identifier (NPI) standards. For more information about NPI is available.
Statewide standards
Where applicable, transactions must also conform to the new Oregon Companion Guides. We will make the 270/271 Oregon Companion Guide available on this site once it is reviewed and approved by ASC X12.

Oregon Medicaid standards and resources
In all Oregon MMIS Technical Specifications (formerly known as Companion Guides), the Interchange Receiver ID (ISA08) and Application Receivers Code (GS03) have been changed to ORDHS (effective 9/23/11).

The EDI Administrative Rules (Chapter 943, Division 120, "Electronic Data Transmission") establish the registration process and requirements applicable to Oregon Medicaid Trading Partners or EDI submitters. They also govern the conduct and requirements for all EDI transactions with Oregon Medicaid. |
