When did the list open?
The list officially opened Nov. 1, 2009 but due to intense public interest DHS/OHA chose to begin accepting requests Oct. 21, 2009.
What is the drawing list process?
People interested in applying for OHP Standard benefits need to place their names on the drawing list.
OHA will mail a letter to individuals on the drawing list that includes their drawing number. The letter will only confirm that the person is on the drawing list; it does not guarantee an opportunity to apply for OHP Standard benefits.
OHA will randomly select names from the list as funding allows and space becomes available. OHA will mail an application to those individuals whose names have been selected. The number of names selected will depend on the amount of available funding for OHP Standard.
Do you qualify for other benefits?
Only OHP Standard requires this drawing list process. OHP Plus and other OHA benefit packages have different eligibility requirements and are open for enrollment. You may already qualify for coverage through one of these packages. To learn more...
You can complete an OHP Application at any time, even if your name is on the OHP Standard drawing list.
