Starting July 1, 2005, cosmetology certification fees are $33 per field of practice (Barbering, Esthetics, Hair Design, Nail Technology):

For example, if you wish to be certified in all four fields, you would pay $132. If you wish to be certified in Hair Design and Esthetics, you would pay $66.

 

Cosmetology certification previously was "bundled" but was statutorily changed by the Oregon Legislature in 2003 to align with current educational requirements and standards. Individual fields of practice certification also provides a much more accurate employment picture of practitioners actively practicing in a particular field(s).

Don't delay in renewing your license or pay a late fee of $25 for each field of practice being renewed!  In other words, if you are late renewing for two fields of practice, you would pay $50 in late fees.  If you are renewing all four fields, you would pay $100 in late fees.

 

If you renew one year or later than your expiration date, the late fee doubles.  In other words, instead of paying $25 per field of practice, you would pay $50 per field of practice in late fees.
