| Board Overview |
|
The Board of Licensed Dietitians consists of seven members appointed by the governor:
- Two are members of the general public
- One is a physician trained in clinical nutrition
- Four are licensed dietitians who have been engaged in dietetic practice for a least five years
The term of office is four years, but a member serves at the pleasure of the governor. If a person serves two consecutive terms, a period of at least four years must elapse before the person is again eligible for appointment.

The Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) is a state consumer and public protection agency overseeing regulation of multiple health and related professions. The 70th Oregon Legislative Assembly established OHLA in 1999. Unique in structure compared to other state professional licensing and regulatory bodies, OHLA incorporates a central agency model and director rather than a single board of directors from one profession.
