Dr. Steven E. Mussack
Dr. Steven E. Mussack
Dr. Mussack has assessed and treated sex offenders since 1980 and has served in a wide range of positions, including Co-Founder, Eugene Family Institute and Eugene Center for Family Development; and founder and Director of CHOICES Sexual Offender Treatment Program in Eugene in 1984, and since 2002, Director of CHOICES in Salem.
He has also been a consultant and expert witness, published numerous professional articles and has been a member of several professional associations.  He co-founded the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ASTA) and served on the ATSA’s board of directors for 14 years.
Dr. Mussack has provided training to therapy interns in sex offender treatment since 1988 and has been licensed as a psychologist since 1989.  He received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nebraska in 1975; an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, University of Oregon, 1983; and a Doctor of Philosophy, Counseling Psychology, University of Oregon, 1988.
