| Welcome Back to the New, Streamlined Licensing Line |

Licensing Line won't leave the station without you
|
Licensing Line took a hiatus during the busy first months of the 2007 Oregon Legislative Session. We're welcoming back our readers with a fresh new look, thanks to the E-government experts at the Department of Administrative Services, Enterprise Information Strategy and Policy Division (DAS EISPD).
Some behind-the-curtain technical wizardry by E-government also saves a few time-consuming steps in the electronic publishing process, freeing us up to report on more news of the Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) central agency, OHLA volunteer citizen boards and councils, and OHLA-regulated professions.
We appreciate your interest in the regulatory process and in keeping abreast of continuing developments in the multiple health and related professions we regulate. Thanks to you, Licensing Line now has more than 1,000 online readers on board.
Look for a legislative update focusing on the issues impacting OHLA and OHLA-regulated professions in the next issue of Licensing Line. All aboard!

| Callers Can Now Dial Direct to OHLA Staff Extensions |

|
Find OHLA staff fast with direct dialing
|
Callers to the OHLA central agency can now dial directly to agency staff. Each OHLA staff member has an individual extension as part of the agency’s switch to a state government-wide phone system.
The agency’s main phone number of 503-378-8667 remains the same for callers who do not know the specific extension number of the staff member or department they are calling.
To reach specific department and staff extensions, callers dial the same 503 area code but a different prefix, 373, then the specific extension number. For example:
- OHLA online renewal help line – 503-373-2014
- OHLA Enforcement Section – 503-373-2024
- OHLA staff member – 503-373-extension #
New OHLA staff extensions can be accessed on the agency’s Web site at www.oregon.gov/OHLA. Click on “Contact Us,” the second link from the top on the left navigation menu, and then click on “OHLA Staff Directory” in the grey-screened box under “Address.”
Individual staff extensions may also be accessed on the phone system by typing in the staff member’s name, then pressing the # sign.
Callers are still able to access specific information topics, such as:
- Agency hours of operation and directions
- OHLA volunteer citizen boards, councils and programs
- Examination times
- License renewals
- Enforcement matters, including consumer complaints
- OHLA Web site
- Licensing record updates
- Applications and laws and rules
Callers will continue to be able to speak with a customer service representative unless all available lines are busy. All calls left on the agency’s voicemail will be returned in two business days or less, part of OHLA’s commitment to its customer service standards, which can be found on the Customer Connection page at http://www.oregon.gov/OHLA/customerconnection.shtml.
