| What Are the Central Issues of OHLA, Regulated Professions? |
|
What do you think are the key issues facing the Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) and OHLA-regulated professions?
OHLA is posing the question as it enters its second decade as a state consumer protection agency.
The agency addresses a wide variety of issues from profession to profession, relying on the profession-specific expertise of its volunteer citizen boards and councils to make informed licensing and regulatory decisions.
OHLA will consult with its boards and councils in the coming months to gain consensus on key agency-wide and profession-specific issues that the agency, in collaboration with its boards and councils, will address in 2010 and beyond.
To highlight the various issues of OHLA-regulated professions and agency-wide issues, the agency plans to publish a series of online publications called Central Issues.
"Our goal is to keep our licensees, consumers and other stakeholders informed and able to participate in the regulatory process," says OHLA Director Randy Everitt. "This is one way to accomplish that goal."
