The Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) invites licensees, stakeholders and other interested parties to attend Change Is the Solution: Today's Vision, Tomorrow's Reality, a preview event highlighting recent and proposed changes at OHLA.

Proposed Fee Changes: OHLA Rulemaking Starts in June

Comment during the public rulemaking process
Starting in June, OHLA plans to file proposed revisions to agency Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) that revise licensing fees for all OHLA-regulated professions.
 
Following is a tentative administrative rulemaking schedule:
 
June 13:  Notice of Proposed Rulemaking / Hearing to be filed
 
July 23:  Public Rulemaking Hearing
 
September 1:  Effective date for adoption of proposed rule changes
 
Please visit www.oregon.gov/OHLA on June 13, when the proposed rules are expected to be filed.

OHLA Board, Council Meetings Wrap Up for Season on June 6

The Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) meets at 10 am on Friday, June 6, for a regularly scheduled meeting that wraps up the first half of OHLA volunteer citizen board and council meetings for 2008.
 
Board and council meetings commence again on September 9, when the Board of Denture Technology meets at 9 am.
 
All board and council meetings are held at OHLA in Salem unless otherwise indicated.

OHLA will be conducting a series of conference calls with all OHLA boards and councils in August to review proposed changes to OHLA central agency rules, specifically changes in licensing fees for all OHLA-regulated professions.

Interested in serving on a board or council?
OHLA is currently looking to fill recent vacancies on the nine volunteer citizen boards and councils the agency oversees.  Appointments are made by the Governor's Office of Executive Appointments.
 
Following are current openings on OHLA boards and councils.  Applicants complete and submit an Executive Appointments Interest Form if interested in a particular position.
