Welcome to the Oregon Invasive Species Council (OISC)

The purpose of the Oregon Invasive Species Council (OISC) shall be to conduct a coordinated and comprehensive effort to keep invasive species out of Oregon and to eliminate, reduce, or mitigate the impacts of invasive species already established in Oregon.

The next meeting of the Oregon Invasive Species Council will be March 3, 2010 at the Chemeketa Eola Viticulture Center on Doak's Ferry Road in Salem. We'll host our business meeting in the morning, the awards luncheon, and our business meeting in the afternoon. March 4, we'll host our meeting at a state agency in Salem (location to be announced).

Oregon Public Broadcasting- OPB
Oregon Field Guide embarks on a year-long campaign to engage Oregonians in the battle against invasive species. Oregon Field Guide stories about invasives are available for classroom use, are listed in the "VIDEO" section of the Silent Invasion website. There are also activities if classrooms want to get involved in some hands on work.
