Although introduced to most countries in the world, Khapra beetles, also known as cabinet or warehouse beetles, were first found in the United States in 1946. All known infestations in the Unites States have been eradicated. They are small round beetles that will prosper in pantries, closets and warehouses where wheat grain, cereal, and other food is stored. Though found to infest warehouses and food processing plants Khapra beetles can infest any structure, which harbors the food they like. This species is on the list of the World’s 100 Worst Invaders.
