Council members will discuss strategies to obtain funding for annual Council operations—Rick Boatner 9:00–9:30 Report-A-Pig Campaign—A tri-state campaign to inform landowners about feral swine and encourage them to report sightings to their respective fish and wildlife agencies will be discussed, and Council members will provide their insights and suggestions to campaign activities—Lisa DeBruyckere 9:30–10:00 Hot topics—Boxwood blight and goat’s rue are two examples of hot topic species that will be discussed. Council members will discuss other species of concern—Council members 10:00–10:15 BREAK 10:15–11:00 Standard Best Management Practices at Boating Access Points/Wash Stations—Glenn Dolphin is assisting a national AIS task force under the direction of the State Organizations for Boating Access (SOBA) to develop standard BMPs that can be used at boating access points to help prevent the spread of AIS. Glenn will discuss his new role. In addition, the Council will discuss the issue of boat wash stations and their availability in the state—Glenn Dolphin, Rick Boatner 11:00–noon Pollinators—Sarina Jepsen, Endangered Species Program Coordinator for the Xerces Society, works on the conservation of rare or declining species in their habitats. She will discuss with the Council the Pollinator Conservation Program.
