  • Beer & wine approved for sale in liquor stores
At the September 12 meeting, OLCC Commissioners deemed the test to allow four liquor stores to sell beer and wine as non-exclusive stores as successful. The Lincoln City North liquor store, shown left, was part of that test project. The store offers more than 300 microbrews, a large variety of wine, and more than 1800 different liquor products.
As a result, the Commissioners acknowledged that they would be willing to consider applications from other liquor store owners who are interested in the same business model. “Oregonians pride ourselves on our pioneering spirit,” says Chair Rob Patridge. “This is the first step of many in improving the shopping experience for our customers.”

  • OLCC: It's Your Business
InGoodSpirits.jpgHow many breweries, wineries and distilleries are in Oregon? What does OLCC do to keep people safe? Where does all that money go? What does OLCC do for me? Any of these questions sound familiar?
Thanks to a grant from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission has developed a video to try to answer these and other questions – in about eight minutes.
The new video, OLCC: It’s Your Business, covers topics that aren’t everyday conversation, but information that the public is usually surprised to learn.
