PATRICIA L. SMITH, PUBLIC MEMBER, Bend
 
CHAIR: PATRICIA L. SMITH, PUBLIC MEMBER, BEND – Ms. Smith has been a resident of Bend since 1970. Ms. Smith and her husband, Bill, are developers of Bend’s Old Mill District and Les Schwab Amphitheater, and owners of William Smith Properties Inc.
 
A former educator, Ms. Smith is an alumnus of Gonzaga University, and a member of its Board of Regents. She has been actively involved with Central Oregon Community College (COCC) and its Foundation since 1974. She also served two terms on the board of the Oregon Independent Colleges Association.
 
Active in her community, Ms. Smith has worked with the St. Francis School Foundation, the High Desert Museum, Cascade Festival of Music and the Tower Theater.
 
Ms. Smith served on the Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) Board of Directors from 1981 to 2003, including three terms as vice chair. She also served two terms on the OHSU Board of Directors, as vice chair. She is a member of the OHSU Center for Women’s Health Board of Directors, as well as the Boards of Directors of the Oregon Historical Society and the Portland Art Museum, and is a new appointee to the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
