SAROJINI S. BUDDEN, MD, Lake Oswego
 
SAROJINI S. BUDDEN, MD, Lake Oswego – Dr. Budden is known as a leader in pediatric medicine, particularly child development and children with special needs. She established, and is Medical Director of, the Pediatric Development Program at Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital in Portland.
 
She is an associate professor of pediatrics in the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), and is also director of the CDRC's Rett Syndrome Clinic and Neurodevelopment Program.
 
Dr. Budden also serves as a consultant in her sub-specialty of developmental pediatrics to the Providence Neurodevelopmental Center for Children.
 
She is president of the Oregon Pediatric Society, which is a chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Budden said that her work with the Society has afforded her opportunities to work on childhood obesity prevention, nutrition and wellness projects, immunization issues, asthma and child safety at school.
 
Dr. Budden is also a past president of the Northwest Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She has served on the State Commission for Children and Families, the OHSU Faculty Council and more than 25 boards, commissions and committees pertaining to pediatrics and child development.
