| Physician Assistant Committee |

A NEW PHYSICIAN POSITION ON THE PA COMMITTEE WILL BE AVAILABLE JULY 15, 2008
The Oregon Medical Board (OMB) and its Physician Assistant (PA) Committee are seeking letters of interest and curricula vitae (CV) from physicians interested in serving on the Committee.
Candidates should currently be in a supervisory relationship with a physician assistant.
The physician member position of the Committee will be open July 15, 2008, when the term of Bruce Carlson, MD expires.
The Committee is composed of three physician assistants, one physician who supervises a physician assistant, and a member of the Board. The term of office is for three years and is subject to reappointment to a second term. The Committee meets four times a year from 9:30am until business is completed, with occasional telephone conference calls.
Candidates will be interviewed at the June 2008 PA Committee Meeting. The PA Committee will forward three nominees to the Board, which will appoint a new physician member to the Committee at its regular meeting July 10-11, 2008.

| HPP Supervisory Council |

A NEW SUPERVISORY COUNCIL POSITION ON THE HPP SUPERVISORY COUNCIL WILL BE AVAILABLE JULY 1, 2008
The Medical Board’s Health Professionals Program (HPP) Supervisory Council is seeking applicants for appointment to the Council. The person appointed to fill this vacancy shall be eligible for appointment to a full term beginning July 1, 2008 and expiring June 30, 2010.
According to ORS 677.615 (3), Council members “must be citizens of this state who are familiar with the recognition, intervention, assessment and treatment of chemically dependent persons.”
The Council meets quarterly at the HPP offices in Tigard.

| EMT Advisory Committee |

AN EMT-P POSITION ON THE EMT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WILL BE AVAILABLE JULY 1, 2008
The first term of an EMT position on the Oregon Medical Board’s EMT Advisory Committee will end on July 1, 2008. The Board is seeking nominations from EMT-Ps interested in serving on the EMT Advisory Committee for a three-year term. The EMT-P member currently serving on the Committee is interested in serving a second term.
The EMT must have been an Oregon resident for at least two years, and been certified as an EMT-Paramedic for no less than two years.
The EMT Advisory Committee next meets on Friday, May 9, 2008. Interested applicants must submit the following:
- A curriculum vitae
- The reason why the EMT-P is interested in serving on this Committee
- Any committee or team experience he/she will bring to the EMT Advisory Committee
EMT-Ps whose applications are in the Board office by April 21, 2008, are requested to come to the May 9th Committee meeting so each applicant may say why they would like to serve on the Committee, and answer questions from the Committee members.
