Oregon Office of the Staff Judge Advocate (OSJA) -
OSJA is headed by the State Judge Advocate, and the Army component either the Senior Army Judge Advocate if the State Judge Advocate is Air National Guard, or the State Judge Advocate if he or she is Army National Guard.
OSJA provides legal services to commanders and their representatives in conjunction with Judge Advocate assigned to the 41st IBCT (Infantry Brigade Combat Team) and the 82d Brigade (Troop Command), and allocates legal assistance services for Soldiers from Judge Advocates usually not assigned to the Soldier’s organization.

Inspector General (IG) - 
If you have a need to contact the IG, you should contact your Brigade or higher headquarter IG servicing your unit.  For Oregon, IG’s may be assigned to the Brigade you are in, or you may contact the State IG at the Oregon Military Department.
            What is the IG?
Generally, the IG serves as an Extension of the Eyes, Ears, Voice, and Conscience of the Adjutant General; Focusing on the Readiness, Economy, Efficiency, Discipline, Training and Morale of the Oregon National Guard.  You should not consider reports to the IG as confidential.
The IJ General operates with the following guiding principles:
• Extension of the TAG’s eyes & ears, voice and conscience
• Fair and impartial—does not take sides nor recommend punitive action
• Always on the record
• Protects confidentiality (even from 3rd parties and anonymous)
• Cannot release IG records without the TIG’s approval
• Cannot use IG results or records for adverse action
• Looks at both sides of the story (including non-compliance by the complainant)
• Attempts or recommends solution at lowest level (Chain of Cmd)
