Army Guard launches Blackhawk to aid in search for downed aircraft
 
Salem, Ore. – A UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter is departing from the Army Aviation Support Facility in Salem, Ore. en-route to the McMinnville in response to a request from Yamhill County Officials to aid in the search for a missing Cessna aircraft.
 
The Cessna departed Tillamook with three passengers onboard and is believed to be down in the area approximately 20 minutes west of McMinnville, Ore. The Cessna was lost from the radar at approximately 65 feet on their descent.
 
Piloting the Blackhawk is Lt. Col. Dan Hokanson of Keizer, Chief Warrant Officer 4 John Arana as co-pilot of Salem, Sgt. Jason Branch, flight medic and Sgt. 1st Class John Esch - crewchief of Independence, Ore.
