Oregon Army National Guard renews search efforts in Douglas County

The Oregon Army National Guard will launch a UH-60 Blackhawk at approximately 11:30 a.m. from the Army Aviation Support Facility in Salem to continue in the search for a missing woman in Douglas County. The ORARNG is assisting the Douglas County sheriff's office which leads the search.

The ORARNG launched a UH-58 Kiowa yesterday to aid searchers but were unable to locate the woman who has been missing since Dec. 23.

Officials believe the missing woman may have had a stroke and become disoriented while driving from Reedsport. Douglas County officials continue to lead the search.

The Oregon Army National Guard assists civilian officials in dozens of searches and rescues each year.
